Ingredients
  

For the Quiche

  • 1 pie crust Pre-made Pie Crust Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 medium Sweet Potatoes Peeled and diced
  • 4-5 strips Bacon Crisped to perfection
  • 6 large Eggs The heart of the quiche
  • 1 cup Milk Or Cream, use whole milk for a lighter quiche, heavy cream for richer flavor
  • 1.5 cups Cheddar Cheese Shredded, for a comforting depth
  • to taste pinch Salt and Pepper To enhance flavors
  • Optional Add-ins Fresh herbs like thyme or spinach can elevate this dish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, keeping a little of the bacon fat in the skillet.
  • Toss the diced sweet potatoes in the same skillet with a pinch of salt and pepper. Sauté until tender, approximately 10-15 minutes, until they start to caramelize.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk (or cream) until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the cooked sweet potatoes and crumbled bacon, followed by 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into the pie crust and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

To store leftovers, place slices in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven at 350°F (175°C).
