  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar For that sweet glaze.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Adds warmth to balance the sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced Gives a zesty kick.
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper, sliced Adds color and crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional, for garnish.

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients.
  • Place your chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, then add pineapple chunks and sliced bell peppers on top.
  • Cover your crock pot and set it to cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  • Serve over rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in airtight containers for up to 4 days in the refrigerator. This dish also freezes well.
