  • 1 cup granulated sugar Balances the tartness of the strawberries.
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese Opt for low-fat if you prefer.
  • 1 cup whipped topping Use homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 package (9 oz) graham crackers Gluten-free options are available.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Binds the crust and adds richness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
  • Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch baking dish to create an even crust.
  • Bake the crust for about 10 minutes until it is golden. Remove and let it cool completely.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until creamy and smooth. Gradually add in sugar while mixing until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping to create a fluffy mixture.
  • Rinse and slice the fresh strawberries, setting aside a handful for garnishing.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust.
  • Arrange the sliced strawberries evenly over the cream layer.
  • Cover the dessert and place it in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • Before serving, garnish with the reserved strawberries on top.

Notes

You can add a drizzle of chocolate sauce or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for an extra touch. Store covered in the fridge for up to three days but avoid freezing.
