Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish lightly.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onions and bell peppers to the skillet, sautéing until they soften.
  • Mix in your choice of sloppy Joe sauce and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Transfer the beef mixture into the greased casserole dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the biscuit mix and prepare according to package directions. Spread it over the beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
