  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese Creamy and rich base.
  • 1.5 cups Mozzarella cheese Use half for mixing and half for topping.
  • 5 oz Pepperoni slices Feel free to substitute with veggies for a healthier twist.
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce Opt for homemade or store-bought.
  • 0.5 cups Parmesan cheese For extra topping.
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning Brings richness and depth to the filling.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for flavor enhancement.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Boil the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, pepperoni (or your choice of toppings), Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Carefully fill each pasta shell with about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture and place them in a greased baking dish.
  • Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are generously coated.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Serving

  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or a sprinkle of extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

You may substitute ricotta with cottage cheese or use dairy-free alternatives for a vegan version. Let the dish rest for a few minutes after baking for best results.
