  • 24 oz Marinara sauce Rich in flavor and easy to find; or opt for homemade.

Cheeses

  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese Adds creaminess; cottage cheese can be a lighter substitute.
  • 8 oz Mozzarella cheese The gooey centerpiece; try a blend with provolone for an extra kick.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Brings depth and a cheesy crust; nutritional yeast is a non-dairy alternative.

Meat and Seasonings

  • 6 oz Pepperoni slices Classic pizza flavor; turkey or plant-based options available.
  • 1 tbsp Oregano Classic herb enhancing the flavors.
  • 1 tbsp Basil Classic herb enhancing the flavors.

Other Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For sautéing; avocado oil works well too.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook your chosen pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, half the mozzarella, oregano, basil, and pepperoni. Stir until well coated.
  • Pour the pasta mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Top with the remaining mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  • Bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

You can add veggies, swap meats, or use gluten-free pasta to customize this dish to your liking.
