Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork Chops (Bone-in or Boneless, about 1 inch thick) Bone-in for extra flavor and juiciness.
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano can be used for a sharper taste.
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs Crunchy coating; regular bread crumbs can substitute if needed.
  • 1 handful Fresh Herbs (Parsley, Thyme, and Rosemary) Fresh adds a lovely touch.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced) Substitute with garlic powder if needed.
  • 1 piece Egg Can be skipped for a lighter version.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Substitute with your preferred cooking oil.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a shallow bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan, panko bread crumbs, and finely chopped fresh herbs.
  • In another bowl, whisk the egg with a tablespoon of water until frothy.
  • Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Dip each pork chop into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
  • Press each chop into the Parmesan and panko mixture to coat both sides well.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Place the coated pork chops in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Once cooked, let the chops rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store uneaten pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Let them rest after cooking to keep them juicy.
