  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic Garlic powder can be substituted if needed.
  • 1 cup Chicken broth Homemade broth is ideal but store-bought works too.
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika Smoked paprika adds an extra layer of richness.

  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley Can substitute with other herbs like thyme or rosemary.

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to achieve a golden crust.
  • In a small bowl, mix paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning evenly over both sides of the chicken.
  • Pour olive oil into a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat until a drop of water sizzles on contact.

Cooking

  • Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Toss in minced garlic during the last minute of searing.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, covering the skillet.
  • Let the chicken simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Transfer the chicken to a plate, drizzle with the sauce from the skillet, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes

For added nutrition, toss in fresh vegetables like spinach or bell peppers during the last few minutes of cooking. To adjust the flavor, experiment with different herbs. For spice, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
