  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; garlic powder can be used if fresh is unavailable.
  • 1 each Red Bell Pepper Any color bell pepper can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup Honey can substitute if low on maple syrup.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper To enhance flavors.
  • for garnish Fresh Parsley Chopped; adds freshness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel and dice the sweet potatoes into small cubes.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon and cook until crispy.
  • Remove the bacon and place it on paper towels to absorb excess oil, leaving drippings in the skillet.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add chopped onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
  • Toss in the sweet potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Crumble the cooked bacon back into the skillet and drizzle with maple syrup, stirring until well combined and heated through.

Serving

  • Transfer the hash to a serving bowl, garnish with fresh parsley, and enjoy!

Notes

Consider using spices like paprika or cayenne for heat. You can add cheese for extra flavor, or incorporate cooked eggs for protein. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
