  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh is best, but garlic powder can be used
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar Enhances the dish’s overall balance
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground For best flavor
  • 2 stalks Green Onions, sliced For garnish

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper.
  • Optionally, marinate chicken thighs for an hour or overnight for extra flavor.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the honey-garlic mixture over them, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  • Cover and set the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours, or 3-4 hours on high.

Serving

  • Once done, the chicken will be tender. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Try swapping honey for agave or brown sugar, and for added heat, toss in some red pepper flakes. Serve over rice, veggies, or in a wrap. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to three months.
