  • 4-6 pieces Bone-in Chicken Thighs Juicy and tender, these are the stars of the show.
  • ½ cup Honey Adds sweetness and creates that lovely glaze.
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce Brings in a savory tang. Use tamari for gluten-free.
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Infuses your dish with incredible flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated Optional, but adds a lovely warmth.
  • Black Pepper, to taste For a slight kick.
  • Sesame Seeds, for garnish Optional, adds crunch and color.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper.
  • Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring each piece is generously coated.
  • Let the chicken marinate for at least 15 minutes or up to overnight in the fridge.

Cooking

  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, baste the chicken with the sauce, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate overnight. To achieve crispy skin, broil for a couple of minutes at the end of baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
