Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Honey Can substitute with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh is best, but pre-minced works too.
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce Use reduced-sodium or tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil Additional for cooking.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds Optional for garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and once hot, add the chicken breasts.
  • Cook the chicken for about 5 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip the chicken and pour the honey-garlic sauce over the top.

Serving

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

For variations, consider using tofu or shrimp, adding orange juice for a citrusy twist, or red pepper flakes for heat. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
