Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Works best for quick cooking
  • 1/3 cup Honey A natural sweetener that caramelizes beautifully
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic packs bold flavor
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Adds depth and saltiness
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Helps create a beautiful sear
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For thickening the glaze (optional)
  • Sesame Seeds, for garnish Adds a delightful crunch and aesthetic appeal

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, seasoning both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil until well combined.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Flip the chicken and pour the honey garlic mixture over it. Allow it to simmer, basting the chicken as the sauce reduces, about 10-15 more minutes.
  • If you added cornstarch, stir it in now to thicken the glaze.
  • The chicken is ready when internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). The edges should be golden and the sauce syrupy.
  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
