Preparation

  • Dice the garlic, measure out honey and soy sauce, and chop green onions.
  • In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup honey, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, and minced garlic. Add the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated and let it sit for about 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the marinated chicken to the hot pan. Sear for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Pour in the remaining marinade into the pan, and let it simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving

  • Remove from heat, top with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, and enjoy.

Notes

Marinate overnight for deeper flavors. Can substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh for a vegetarian option and maple syrup for a vegan alternative. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
