Preparation

  • Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it’s foamy.
  • Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  • Combine Wet and Dry: Add the frothy yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
  • Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  • First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  • Shape the Rolls: Punch down the dough to release air. Divide it into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a smooth ball.
  • Second Rise: Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool and Serve: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving.
