Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Slice the Hawaiian roll package in half horizontally so you have a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom layer in the baking dish.
  • Layer the ham evenly over the bottom rolls, folding slices if needed to cover corners.
  • Lay the Swiss cheese over the ham in an even layer.
  • Place the top half of the rolls gently over the cheese.

Glaze Preparation and Baking

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, onion powder, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Brush this glaze generously over the top of the rolls so it seeps into the seams.
  • Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 12 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake another 3–6 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melty.
  • Let the sliders rest for 2 minutes, then slice through the seams and serve warm.
  • For an extra-toasty top, broil for 30–60 seconds at the end while watching closely.

Notes

Encourage readers to add pickle slices, swap proteins like turkey, or incorporate healthier ingredients such as spinach leaves. These sliders can also be assembled the night before for convenience.
