Ingredients
  

Slider Base

  • 12 pieces slider rolls dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls, soft and slightly sweet
  • 12 slices deli ham choose quality ham or leftover holiday ham
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese or Gruyere, melts beautifully

Butter-Mustard Glaze

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted for browning and soaking into the tops
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard to add a tangy lift
  • 1 small onion, finely minced sweated in a bit of butter until soft
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for a fresh, herby finish
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional) for extra texture
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for a savory background note

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment.
  • Carefully slice the rolls horizontally, keeping them together in a sheet for easy assembly.
  • In a small bowl, whisk melted butter with Dijon mustard, garlic powder, minced onion, and chopped parsley.

Assembly

  • Place the bottom sheet of rolls in the baking dish. Layer the ham evenly over the rolls, then top with cheese slices.
  • Place the top sheet of rolls over the cheese. Generously brush the entire top with the butter-mustard glaze and sprinkle poppy seeds if using.

Baking

  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 12–15 minutes until warmed through and cheese is melty. Remove foil and bake for another 3–5 minutes to brown the tops.
  • Let the sliders rest for a few minutes, then slice into portions and serve warm.

Notes

Tips: Adjust roll size for events. For heat, swap Dijon for spicy brown mustard. Use plant-based alternatives for a vegetarian option. These sliders are great with a side of creamy mac and cheese.
