Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, blend softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Add the yellow cake mix directly to the cream cheese mixture and mix until combined.
  • Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract (if using), mixing just until everything is combined.
  • In an ungreased 9×13-inch baking dish, pour the strawberry pie filling on the bottom, spreading it evenly.
  • Spoon the cake batter over the filling, ensuring it covers the strawberries.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
