  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Adds umami depth to the marinade.
  • 1/4 cup Honey For sweetness and glaze.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh and aromatic.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil Adds nutty flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, grated For warmth and spice.
  • to taste Green onions, for garnish A fresh touch.
  • to taste Skewers, soaked in water To grill chicken.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, sesame oil, and grated ginger.
  • Add cubed chicken breast and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, soaking up the flavors.

Grilling

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread the marinated chicken onto soaked skewers, leaving space between pieces.
  • Grill the skewers for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through and charred.
  • Let the skewers rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  • Drizzle with extra honey if desired and sprinkle with green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, swap chicken for firm tofu. Add veggies like bell peppers for extra flavor. For heat, incorporate sriracha in the marinade.
