  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions Fresh bite and color.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds savory flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of your crock pot in an even layer.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, black pepper, and ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  • Cut the cream cheese into cubes and tuck them among the pieces of chicken.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is shreddable.
  • Use two forks to shred the chicken in the crock pot, stirring it into the creamy juices.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon until melted and fully combined.
  • Sprinkle chopped green onions on top for freshness and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter option, stir in 1/2 cup Greek yogurt at the end instead of extra cream cheese. Serve over rice, in sliders, or wrapped in tortillas.
