Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot.
  • In a small bowl, combine your BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the BBQ sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and stir it in the sauce before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Freeze portions in zip-top bags for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of water or BBQ sauce to keep moist.
