  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Because garlic makes everything better.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika For a lovely hint of smokiness.
  • ½ teaspoon salt and pepper To taste.

Preparation

  • Start by dicing the onion and mincing the garlic.
  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Sprinkle the diced onion and minced garlic over the chicken, followed by the smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Drizzle the barbecue sauce and add the chicken broth over everything.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred with two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken back to the sauce, stirring to combine.

Serving

  • Pile the delicious shredded chicken onto your favorite buns.
  • Add extra barbecue sauce if you like it saucy.
