Preparation

  • Start by placing the chopped onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Place the chicken breasts on top of the onion and garlic layer.
  • Sprinkle smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the chicken.
  • Drizzle your chosen BBQ sauce generously over the chicken.
  • Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • After cooking, use two forks to shred the chicken in the pot.
  • Serve the BBQ pulled chicken on buns, over rice, or in tacos.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge. Reheat with a splash of water or BBQ sauce.
