Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken Wings The star of the dish, juicy wings for that satisfying bite.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Adds salty depth, a classic foundation for flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Honey Sweetens and caramelizes beautifully during cooking.
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar Provides a tangy balance.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Invites warmth and a hint of spice.
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger Adds a fragrant zest.
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil Imparts a nutty flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch For that coveted crispy exterior.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and sesame oil.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for even more flavor).
  • Set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • After marinating, take the wings out and sprinkle cornstarch over them, tossing gently to coat.

Cooking

  • Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  • Remove the wings and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add a dash of chili powder or sriracha to the marinade. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months and reheat in the air fryer to retain crispiness.
