  • 14 oz Canned Tomatoes Use whole, diced, or crushed.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Substitutes like coconut milk can make it dairy-free.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated for finishing and flavor.
  • Basil Fresh or dried for brightness.
  • Salt and Pepper To taste for enhanced flavor.

Preparation

  • In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in canned tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.
  • Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it heat through.
  • Add the drained pasta to the sauce and toss gently to coat the noodles in the creamy tomato goodness.
  • Stir in the freshly chopped basil and Parmesan cheese just before serving.

Notes

You can store Creamy Tomato Pasta in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For freezing, cool before storing.
