  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese Make sure it’s softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies Choose mild or hot depending on your preference.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar adds more flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be a healthier alternative.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh minced garlic can be used too.
  • Salt and pepper To taste, for enhancing flavors.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold in the can of Rotel, including the liquid.
  • Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the creamy mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and the top is golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra spice, add hot sauce or jalapeños, and feel free to swap cheese types for variety.
