  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Can be replaced with a dairy-free blend if needed.
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables Fresh veggies can be used as well.
  • 2 cups cooked rice Quinoa works as a gluten-free alternative.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Use cheddar or a non-dairy option.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce A splash of soy sauce can be used as a substitute.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Simple seasonings enhance the flavors.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, and cooked rice. Mix well until everything is combined and heated through.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Top with shredded cheese, generously covering the entire mixture.
  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.

Notes

Consider adding diced bell peppers or sweet corn for extra flavor. Substitute meat with lean ground chicken or plant-based protein for a healthier option. For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or jalapeños. Use nutritional yeast for a dairy-free cheese alternative.
