Preparation

  • In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant, around 1 minute.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, letting it simmer for another 3 minutes.
  • Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing well to ensure everything is coated.
  • Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Add seasonal veggies for nutrition, and spice it up with red pepper flakes or jalapeƱos. Experiment with different types of cheese for a unique flavor.
