Ingredients
  

For the spiced tea

  • 2 bags Black tea Can use loose leaf as well.
  • 2 sticks Cinnamon For warmth and sweetness.
  • 5-6 pods Cardamom Adds fragrance and aroma.
  • 3-4 pieces Cloves Provides depth to the chai.
  • 1 inch Ginger, sliced Fresh ginger adds a kick.

For the latte

  • 2 cups Milk of choice Oat milk is recommended for creaminess.
  • 2 tablespoons Sweetener (honey or maple syrup) Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract For added flavor.

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  • Add the black tea bags, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, and sliced ginger to the boiling water. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Strain the spiced tea into another saucepan, discarding the solid spices.
  • Add the milk and sweetener to the spiced tea mixture. Heat over medium-low, stirring occasionally, until it’s steaming but not boiling.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and taste. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Pour the Christmas Chai Latte into your favorite mugs, garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick, and enjoy.

Notes

For an extra festive twist, add a sprinkle of nutmeg or peppermint extract. You can also blend it for a frothy texture.
