  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Swap Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated Fresh is best; nutritional yeast is a great dairy-free substitute.
  • Salt and Pepper Essential seasonings to elevate flavors.
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley For garnish and freshness.

Preparation

  • Boil the Pasta: In a large pot of salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water and then drain the rest.
  • Sauté the Garlic: In the same pot (keep it warm), melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

Cooking

  • Make the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow this to bubble gently.
  • Add Cheese: Gradually mix in the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until it melts into a velvety sauce.
  • Combine: Toss in the drained pasta, mixing well to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water.
  • Season: Add salt and pepper to taste and let the flavors meld together.
  • Serve: Plate the Cheesy Garlic Pasta and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Consider using whole wheat pasta or adding veggies for added nutrition. Fresh herbs should be added at the end to brighten the dish.
