Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 2 cups Graham cracker crumbs Substitute with gluten-free cookies for a gluten-free option.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted Brings richness to the crust.

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened Ensure it is at room temperature for a smooth texture.
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar Adds sweetness to the creamy layer.
  • 1 cup Cool Whip, divided Lightens the texture.

Mint Layer

  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint extract Essential for the holiday flavor.

Topping

  • 1/2 cup Crushed candy canes For festive crunch and decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Then, gently fold in half of the Cool Whip until combined. Spread this layer evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  • In another bowl, mix the remaining Cool Whip with peppermint extract. Spread this layer over the cream cheese layer, smoothing it out for an even finish.
  • Sprinkle the crushed candy canes generously on top.

Chill

  • Cover the pan and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

Notes

For a chocolatey twist, add chocolate pudding to the layers. If you dislike peppermint, substitute with almond extract for a different flavor. Serve with whipped cream and extra crushed candy canes.
