Cooking Steps

  • Start by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once it’s melted, add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it becomes soft and translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for about a minute until you can smell the fragrant aroma.
  • Sprinkle in the garam masala, cumin, and turmeric. Stir to blend them with the onions, allowing them to toast slightly.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and stir to coat them in the spice mixture. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the chicken is browned on all sides.
  • Add the canned tomato puree along with a sprinkle of salt. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, letting the sauce simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
