Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat.
  • In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, sharp cheddar, and garlic powder until creamy.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half.
  • Wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a strip of bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  • Arrange the wrapped jalapenos seam-side down on a lined baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the bacon is golden and crispy.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy bacon, microwave the strips for a minute before wrapping. Rotate the baking sheet halfway through cooking for even crispiness. Serve with a cooling dip like ranch or sour cream.
