Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Opt for organic, free-range for a healthier twist.
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup Make sure it’s 100% pure for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard Adds a delightful tang that complements the sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Opt for low-sodium if you’re watching your salt intake.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Instant flavor enhancer.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Gives a slight kick to the dish.
  • to taste salt Adjust based on preference.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes or longer for maximum flavor.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Place the marinated chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer.
  • Air fry the chicken for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the edges are beautifully caramelized.
  • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice the chicken into strips or serve whole, drizzling with any remaining glaze for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

For deeper flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice right before serving brightens the entire dish.
