Preparation

  • If using frozen wings, thaw them in the fridge beforehand and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until thoroughly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook for 12 minutes, then shake the basket to toss the wings.
  • Cook for an additional 8-10 minutes until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • If adding hot sauce or BBQ sauce, toss the wings in it immediately after they are done cooking.
  • Plate and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Try different sauces like honey garlic, buffalo, or teriyaki for unique flavors. For events, serve wings with homemade dips like ranch or blue cheese. For a lighter option, use skinless wings or bake instead of frying.
