Easy homemade oat milk using just 4 ingredients!
Homemade oat milk is a great way to save $$$ and requires ingredients you already have in your pantry.
Ingredients
Rolled oats – the way to go for making oat milk. Quick oats are more processed and can mess up the texture of the milk.
Sugar – a big plus of making you own oat milk is that the sweetness can be adjusted to your liking. You can use any kind of sweetener for this recipe or none at all, if you prefer. Agave, coconut sugar, whole dates (pits removed), and brown sugar are all great options.
Vanilla extract – for added flavor.
Salt – enhances the flavor of the milk.
It is important to blend the oats for no longer than 60 seconds, otherwise you will end up with a slimy texture.
You can also flavor your milk by adding ingredients like ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, or strawberries.
