Ingredients

Pasta and Base

  • 8 oz Pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 can Canned Tomatoes (crushed or whole)
  • 8 oz Burrata Can substitute with mozzarella or ricotta

Flavor Enhancers

  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing
  • 1 handful Fresh Basil, for garnish

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining.

Making the Sauce

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, around 1-2 minutes.
  • Stir in the canned tomatoes, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Optionally, add a splash of balsamic vinegar or a pinch of sugar for richer flavor.

Combining Everything

  • Add the drained pasta to the tomato sauce, tossing gently. If it’s too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you achieve your desired consistency.
  • Tear or slice the burrata into pieces and let it melt into the warm pasta.

Serving

  • Finish with fresh basil and a drizzle of olive oil. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to add grilled chicken or sautéed shrimp for protein. Seasonal veggies can also be added for extra nutrition.
