This burger sauce is inspired by the In-N-Out “spread”. Tangy, creamy, and slightly sweet; a perfect replacement for same old ketchup and mustard.
Key Ingredients
Vegan mayonnaise – for this recipe I used Follow Your Heart’s original Vegenaise. Any vegan mayo work just fine though.
Yellow onion – is what really gives this sauce that authentic In-N-Out spread flavor. But to get the most out of it, it’s best to refrigerate the sauce for at least 1 hour.
White vinegar – gives a nice verve and also plays a part in getting the In-N-Out spread flavor.
This recipe is simple, easy, and quick to whip up. And don’t be shy, dip your fries in it too.
Burger Sauce
Servings: 1 cup
Ingredients
- ¾ cup vegan mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp sweet relish
- 1 tbsp yellow onion minced
- 2 tsp white vinegar
Instructions
- Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Use right away or you can refrigerate it for about an hour to allow the flavor of the onion to meld with the rest of the ingredients. Lasts up to 7 days refrigerated.
